Pax

 

Pax re-imagines the cross by dividing it into right angles, bringing it both freshness and respect.  The dove of peace is integrated between the two parts, unifying the central message of Jesus with the central image of Christianity.  The artist hopes this is sometimes interpreted as separate paths representing the choices we make in life and that it inspires discussions about choosing peace.  Pax measures 80" tall by 48" wide and weighs 46 pounds. While this sculpture is made for indoor exhibition, the artist would like to make a large scale version of this for outdoor installation.
